Brentwood TN has become a destination for many relocating to Middle Tennessee. Not only does it offer a great commute to Nashville, it also is known for its one-house/one-acre density zoning, natural beauty and recreational opportunities that include an extensive city park system, two branches of the YMCA, Williamson County Indoor Sports Complex (ISC), The Martin Center for seniors and the Brentwood Public Library.

Brentwood is one of the wealthiest suburbs in Tennessee. It encompasses 41 square miles with a population of approximately 38,000. Though the city is home to several corporations in the Maryland Farms area of Brentwood, it maintains a residential feel. Commercial development is limited to its northern and southern boundaries.

The city is recognized for its police and fire departments and quality Williamson County schools.

Some interesting facts about Brentwood TN:

  • Local schools get extra money from the City of Brentwood.
  • With the exception of the Town Center District, one-acre-minimum residential zoning is the law in Brentwood. However, there is also a law that allows the sharing of common green space to count in the total. Therefore, not every home is on one-acre.
  • There are no apartment buildings in Brentwood, though some have Brentwood mailing addresses.
